Our feline-assisted intervention services offer clinically proven anxiety and stress reduction through cat interaction, particularly effective for patients in mental health or memory care environments, or for those dealing with loneliness, depression, PTSD, and rehabilitation needs. We offer sessions to individuals, clinical teams and care organisations on an affordable basis with no fixed term contracts. We provide easy read guides and accessible animal toys to ensure everyone can interact with our animals. Our therapy animals are trained to high standards by ABTC licensed animal practitioners. Animal Assisted Intervention has been found to actively reduce the symptoms of loneliness, depression and anxiety, and promoted patient engagement in rehabilitation sessions. The interactions with animals also relieved many physiological symptoms. Meet our team

Eddie Kent

Lead Animal Assisted Intervention Practitioner

Hello! I’m Eddie, the proud owner and handler of the wonderful animals at Bubbles Animal Therapy (BAT).My journey to founding BAT began with a deep-rooted passion for both healthcare and animals, two seemingly different fields that harmoniously blend to create a unique and impactful service. Before embarking on this adventure, I dedicated my career to healthcare. I started as a support worker in an assessment home, where I provided care and assistance to those in need. My journey then led me to study Associate Ambulance Practice, ultimately becoming a Newly Qualified Technician in the ambulance service. Throughout my time on the frontline, I witnessed countless life-changing events, affecting individuals and their families in profound ways. One constant during these challenging times was the unspoken power of animals. I noticed that their presence could spark joy, initiate conversations, and provide immense comfort during even the toughest moments. This observation inspired me to combine my love for animals with my healthcare experience, leading to the creation of BAT – a service dedicated to bringing healing and joy to those who need it most.At BAT, we strive to make a difference through the therapeutic presence of our animals. Whether you have questions or specific needs, please feel free to reach out to us at the bottom of the page, and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Grizzly

Grizzly by name, but far from grizzly by nature. This fluffy feline is a connoisseur of affection and absolutely adores being pampered. While he exudes a serene and calm demeanor, Grizzly is always ready for a playful session when the mood strikes. His vocal personality ensures delightful conversations, making him a charming companion who loves to chat. Grizzly can sit contentedly for hours, reveling in pets and loving every moment of grooming.
Grizzly's journey brought him to us after he was surrendered to an adoption agency. For much of his early life, he shared a single room with his sister, Ziggy, and two other cats. Now, this bonded pair spends their days joyfully playing and exploring alongside their two other adopted siblings. Grizzly's heartwarming presence is sure to bring a sense of tranquility and joy to everyone he meets.

Want to meet Ziggy? Please call us or leave a message on 01509 440 203.

Ziggy

Ziggy is an elegant older lady with a heart full of warmth and affection. She adores snuggling up on your lap or by your side, bringing a sense of tranquility to your home. With her calm demeanor, she is the perfect companion, content to keep you company as long as she’s paid in plenty of fuss and gentle strokes.
Ziggy is very quiet and chooses not to meow, making her an ideal companion for noise-sensitive environments. Her peaceful presence ensures a serene atmosphere, where only the soft purrs of contentment fill the air. Despite her quiet nature, Ziggy loves a good playtime session when presented with a shoe lace. She’s always ready to engage in a bit of fun, adding a touch of playful joy to your day.

Sour Cream

Chive

Sour Cream and her brother Chive are our dynamic duo, currently in training and eagerly anticipating the chance to meet you soon! This lively pair was found alongside a cluster of other stray cats, and they’ve already captured our hearts with their playful and spirited nature. Estimated to be around a year old, they still have plenty of growing to do and a world of adventures ahead.
Both Sour Cream and Chive thrive during their training sessions with Grizzly and Ziggy, eagerly learning new things and embracing each challenge with boundless enthusiasm. Their energy and zest for life are truly infectious, and they’re sure to bring a spark of joy to any home they join.
While they are still in the process of honing their skills, it won’t be long before Sour Cream and Chive are ready to share their playful antics and affectionate nature with you. These two are set to bring a whirlwind of fun and love to your life, and they can’t wait to meet you!
